It was just a matter of time before Mel Gibson got to shove it in Hollywood’s collective face … according to Mickey Rourke.
Mickey was leaving Prime Cutts in L.A. (a carnivore’s delight, btw) when we asked him about Mel getting a standing O for “Hacksaw Ridge” … the new military flick he directed.
Rourke was not at all shocked, and says Gibson’s just joining a list of talented guys Hollywood tried like hell to crush, but ultimately had to welcome back to the fold for one reason.
Check out Mickey’s take, and also the trailer — which is really interesting because Mel didn’t put his own name in it. He’s clearly aware he’s made enemies.
