Lindsay Lohan‘s former BFF, Vikram Chatwal, is under investigation by the NYPD for allegedly trying to burn 2 dogs … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us they got reports Friday morning of Vikram taking a spray can and a lighter, and then singeing the backs of 2 dogs outside his apartment. We’re told when cops arrived, Vikram wasn’t home, where witnesses say he’d been just minutes earlier. But we got video of him there.
Check out the clip — Vikram sounds out of it while trying to defend himself. Also, there appears to be a burn mark on at least 1 of the dogs.
Vikram — who owns NYC’s Dream Hotel — has a LONG history of drug problems … and LiLo was right there with him for some of those times.
Cops are still looking for Vikram, and if he’s caught, we’re told he could face a reckless endangerment charge. We’ve reached out to Vikram’s camp … so far, no word back.
