LAPD officers got their hands on a piece of Donald Trump‘s Walk of Fame star … which had been stashed away after vandal James Otis destroyed it.
Cops recovered the brass emblem with the TV icon from Trump’s star at a home in the San Fernando Valley. Law enforcement sources tell us Otis had given it to a family member for safekeeping. He gave up the location during questioning.
As we first reported … cops nabbed Otis Thursday morning in West Hollywood and he’s being booked for felony vandalism. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce says the star is worth $30,000.
As for Trump’s nameplate — it was mostly obliterated during Otis’ attack, and he says he did not take the pieces.
